Dr. Nichols is a 1988 honors graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He also completed a Residency Program at the University of Pennsylvania in Advanced Restorative Dentistry. Practicing Dentistry in both the Boston and Providence areas and serving as a clinical instructor at Tufts Dental School, has afforded Dr. Nichols with a vast experience in all areas of general dentistry, and has culminated in knowledge that has become a welcome benefit to his patients. Community involvement is the reason why Dr. Nichols opened his Foxboro practice in 2006, and is the main reason for participating in the Child Identification Programs sponsored by the Masonic Fraternity. Offering his patients, a state-of-the-art facility with an environment of a hometown family practice, Dr. Nichols prides himself on honest, quality care, something every patient deserves.
A Foxboro native, Dr Eagan graduated from Foxboro High School in 2011; earned his bachelor’s degree (BA) from Williams College and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees from Columbia University. At Columbia, Dr. Eagan studied as a HRSA-funded Training Fellow for the Care of Underserved Populations, conducting research in population oral health, and received an advanced professional degree in public health. His unique professional education also included two years of medical school coursework in addition to training in general dentistry and was awarded a scholarship for “excellence in preventative dentistry and community health.” He then completed an intensive residency in advanced general dentistry at the Providence VA Medical Center to learn innovative techniques in full & partial mouth reconstructions, receiving commendations from the hospital leadership for detecting cancers and treating life-threatening infections. Dr. Eagan’s clinical philosophy is centered on the principle of evidence-based practice, from which he works to integrate oral health with whole-body physical and mental health. He believes in preventing and minimizing the use of invasive dental procedures while always maximizing his patients’ comfort. Every patient is treated like a member of his family. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Massachusetts Dental Society, and he is a fellow of the American Academy of the History of Dentistry. Outside of his clinical profession, Dr. Eagan is a respected musician in the region, performing the Highland bagpipes, French horn, and various folk instruments. He also enjoys keeping tropical freshwater fish.
Amy graduated from Mount Ida College in 2007. Prior to attending the School for Dental Hygiene, she was a certified Dental Assistant for 12 years. Amy believes that patients should be cared for with consideration and understanding. No two people are alike, and everyone deserves customized, gentle care. As a member of a dedicated team, Amy is confident in the honesty and integrity with which we care for our patients. Interacting with team members outside of work is very important in creating a bond between employees that makes the work pleasant and more efficient.
Stephanie graduated from Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in 2008. She believes that understanding dental fears and anxiety helps create a welcoming environment that is comforting. This environment is what makes our Practice stand out from others. The team approach to our staff and the ability to get to know patients and their families in a more personalized way, is what builds caring relationships and trust.
Jodi graduated from Forsyth School for Dental Hygiene in 1988 and from Northeastern University with an Associates in Science. She believes that we should provide conscientious, quality dental care with a gently manner. Understanding that the dental environment is stressful for many, she strives to treat each patient with friendliness, respect and understanding to make their experience as comfortable as possible. Jodi appreciates that the supportive team at Nichols Family Dentistry is always open to learning from one another and is confident in the quality care given each patient under a shared philosophy that quality starts with honest assessments of treatment needs within a comfortable environment for the patients.
Donna has been a Registered Dental Assistant for over 30 years, and started with Dr. Nichols in Rhodes Island prior to the move to Foxboro. The knowledge gained from so many years in the field affords patients and staff a trusted resource in planning dental care. Donna is now our Clinical Supervisor and Front Desk Coordinator. In these roles, she utilizes her knowledge to help staff perform their duties and patients to schedule their treatment. Donna believes that honesty is the most important aspect of treating patients. We should always strive to do what’s right for each individual. The teamwork and shared philosophy of the staff together with the quality work of Dr. Nichols is what Donna enjoys the most about her job.
Violet graduated from Massasoit Community College as a Certified Dental Assistant. Prior to this she attended Sofia University where she earned her Master’s in Early Childhood Education. Violet’s philosophy on treating patients mirrors Aristotle’s wise words:” pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.” Violet follows the same goal as all the staff, to provide patients with a caring, relaxing environment in which the patient is the main priority. The ability to be part of a dental team that prides themselves with quality dental care and caring relationships that make watching patients grow from Toddlers to adults a joy.
Susan graduated from Bryant College with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in 1988. Her experience in management and managerial finance has taken her across numerous industries until settling in Dentistry in 2006. Susan believes in the philosophy of the Practice and the quality care each staff member gives to the Patients. The environment that the practice welcomes each patient into makes dental appointments more like a visit with friends. Her personal philosophy focuses more on the financial end of treatment. No patient should have to risk poor oral health which could lead to poor overall health because of finances. She is always willing to help patients apply for affordable ways to achieve their dental care needs.
Holly comes into the practice with a degree in Legal Secretarial Studies from Aquinas Jr. College in 1984. Since graduation, Holly has been responsible for organizational duties, filing legal documents with the court, research, bookkeeping, and all other areas of Administrative work. Her organizational skills and research abilities make her a perfect addition to the insurance and billing functions of the office. With so many different dental plans, getting the practice system to generate estimated patient costs as close as possible is an extremely important function for our patients. Holly believes that dental care is an integral piece in a person’s overall health and should not be overlooked. Her efforts as a member of the staff will help to bring this vital fact to the forefront through our software and marketing functions in the future.
